The goal of FBC Waco’s recreational ministry is to engage and serve our community through offering recreational activities to children and families.


Fall Soccer League – First Baptist Waco’s youth soccer league is a co-ed recreational league for children currently in grades 1st-6th. The league is divided into three divisions: 1st & 2nd, 3rd & 4th, 5th & 6th. We invite children play, and encourage others to assist through signing up to coach or referee.

Sign Up for Soccer! - We are now accepting registration forms for the 2015 season. All registration forms for Coaches, Players, and Referees are located on the right hand panel of this page. Forms may also be picked up at the church office. Please notice that there is an option for online registration. Forms not submitted online may be faxed or returned to the church office. Please turn all form in before Sept 25th

Summer Day Camp - First Baptist Waco's Summer Day Camp program serves children in grades 1-6 from 7:30 a.m-5:30 p.m. on summer weekdays (June -August). Enrollment in Day Camp coasts $120 per week (includes lunch and breakfast).

Activities will include worship, sports, arts and crafts, swimming, devotionals, canoeing, Vacation Bible School, drama, air rifles, and once-a-week field trips, including trips to Cameron Park Zoo, Baylor’s Mayborn Museum, and Hawaiian Falls.


Summer Day Camp Employment - We are looking for faithful and hardworking employees who are eager to serve children and families in our community. Positions which we will be looking to fill for the summer of 2015 are listed below. All staff members will be expected to be available 20-40 hours per week. Each staff member will receive 1 week of vacation time during their 11 week commitment. If you have any questions regarding employment please contact us.

Counselors deal directly with the care and supervision of children. The counselor’s primary responsibility is to maintain the children’s safety while participating actively with the children throughout the day. Counselors are expected to to lead Bible Study times and camp activities. Couselors are compensated at $8.00/hr.

Head Counselor

The primary responsibility of the head counselor is to serve alongside of fellow counselors. Furthermore, the head counselor will be a liaison between the leadership staff and the counselors. A head counselor is expected to be an advocate, and example, and a support for fellow counselors. A Head counsler will be compensated at $8.50/hr.

Worship Leaders:  Pastor & Music Director

The worship leaders will be primarily responsible for planning and conducting daily 1 hour worship services.  Worship will be held each day and may consist of (but is not limited to) worship through teaching, interaction, drama, and song. As a secondary task the worship leaders will be expected to fulfill leadership roles in the absence of the Director or Assistant Director, and may assist with the responsibilities of counselors when needed. Worship leaders are compensated at $9.00/hr.

Support Staff:  Gophers/Office Aids

Support staff are an essential part to the function of the camp. Gophers and offices aids are primarily responsible for setting up snacks and activities, maintaining a clean and orderly environment, and serving as a receptionist at the front desk. Support Staff are compensated at $7.50/hr. 

Assistant Director

The chief responsibility of the Assistant Director will be to oversee the daily operation of camp programming and activities. The Assistant Director will also be expected supervise counselors and support staff. During any absence of the Camp Director the assistant director will be in charge. The Assistant Director will be compensated at $10.00/hr.
